What is the The Entrepreneurship Society?
The Tech Society facilitates transactions among emerging technology Founders/C-Suite, investors and service providers. The Tech Society owns The Entrepreneurship Society, The Cannabis Society, The Blockchain Society, The PropTech Society and The E-Gaming Society. The Tech Society creates, markets and executes 120+ emerging technology conferences and hackathons annually in the USA, Canada, and Europe with expansion planned for Asia in 2020.

Tom Zuber has advised some of the most iconic companies in the world on their patent and trademark portfolios. He is at the cutting edge of cannabis patent and trademark law. Tom holds a law degree from Columbia Law School, a master’s degree in public policy from Harvard Government School, and a biomedical engineering degree from Rutgers University, where he graduated with highest honors. Zuber Lawler is the Official US Legal Expert of The Cannabis Society.

Jeffrey E Finkle, Co-founder of the Viridian Members Fund and Arcview Asset Management
Named one of the “25 Angel Investors in New York You Need to Know” by AlleyWatch in 2014, Jeff has been a venture investor for ten years, an angel investor for eight years. Jeff is presently Co-founder of the Viridian Members Fund, the first member-managed fund in cannabis. He also serves as Chairman of the Evaluation Committee and Treasurer of the ARC Angel Fund. Jeff has been actively advising startups at Reitler Advisory Group and publishes insights to his blog www.finkabout.it. He is a frequent panelist, speaker, and judge on venture investing and pitch competitions in NY. Jeff has also guest lectured and held office hours for many incubators/accelerators including Start-up Leadership Program, 37 Angels, NYU Polytech Incubator (New York City and Brooklyn), DreamIT Ventures, and FashInvest. Prior to his work with angel and seed groups, Jeff was a partner of Odeon Capital Partners, an early-stage venture capital fund. Prior to Odeon, Jeff was an operating executive at CA, Inc., and Cheyenne Software, Inc., where he served as GM of the Unix Division, VP of Corporate Development, VP of Corporate Marketing, and Director of Product Management. David Teten, Venture Partner, HOF Capital
David Teten is a Venture Partner with HOF Capital, an international venture capital fund based in New York. David has particular interest in fintech, sales tech, and HR tech. He was previously a Managing Partner with HOF Capital and Partner for 6 years with ff Venture Capital, one of the best-performing seed- and early-stage venture capital firms in the U.S. He has served on the boards of Authorea (sold to Wiley), Earnest Research (Observer), Ionic Security, Signup.com, and Whisk (sold to Deem). David also has advised clients such as Goldman Sachs Special Situations Group, Icahn Enterprises, LLR Partners, Birch Hill Equity Partners, and other institutional investors. Karolina Mrozkova, White Star Capital
Karolina is an Associate at White Star Capital in New York, with a unique background combining experience in the fashion industry and spending time at a New York-based startup incubator. At White Star, she specializes primarily in the consumer sector. Karolina was born and raised in Prague, Czech Republic, and holds a BS in Finance and Marketing from NYU Stern School of Business.
Jenny Friedman, Co-founder and Managing Partner, Supernode Ventures
Supernode Ventures is an early stage, generalist venture fund based in NYC focusing on pre-seed and seed investments. She joined from Eniac Ventures, where she focused primarily on early stage investments in mobile first technology including enterprise and consumer facing applications and platforms in addition to devices such as smartphones, tablets, wearables, drones, robots, and IoT. Prior to Eniac, Jenny spent time in an operational role at Minibar Delivery, an e-commerce startup, focusing on data analytics and business development. She worked as a financial professional at Goldman Sachs in the Investment Management Division.
Jenny graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania and Columbia Business School. She is a member of Wharton Private Equity & Venture Capital Alumni Association. Jenny was born and raised in New York City.
Fady Yacoub, Co-Founder and Managing Partner, HOF Capital
At HOF Capital Fady focuses on companies leveraging frontier technologies to reshape massive industries. At HOF, he led investments in Headspin, Flutterwave, Terra, and others across sectors and stages. Prior to HOF Capital, Fady worked at Digital World Capital, a technology- focused hedge fund, helping the firm expand its investment portfolio in Asia by overseeing the firm’s investment in Baidu and Qihoo 360. Prior to that, he was a Data Analyst at Switch (NYSE:SWCH), which builds and operates the highest-rated colocation data centers in the world. After DWC, Fady syndicated an SPV that invested into the Alibaba IPO (NYSE:BABA). Fady earned both a BS and BA in Business Administration & Psychology from the University of Southern California.
Sebastian Zhou, Investor, Alpha Square Group
Sebastian Zhou joined Alpha Square Group since 2017. Currently, as an investor at ASG, he spearheads fintech and blockchain related investments. Previous investments include: Figure, Symbiont, Boxed, Tradeshift, and ezCater etc.
Prior to joining ASG, he worked at Guotai Asset Management, a $324bn asset manager, focusing on capital allocation of various asset classes across US and Asia. Earlier still, Sebastian worked at Search Fund Accelerator – most advanced accelerator in the search fund world, helping to make acquisitions on recurring-revenue business and operations.
Sebastian holds a B.S. in Management, concentrations in Finance and Information Systems from Boston College. Previously, Sebastian attended studies at University of Hong Kong and Penn State University.
Jesse Wachtel, EuroAmerican Funding Group
Jesse was the co-founder of PhoneTag, the first US-based voicemail transcription service and the basis for Apple and Google’s voicemail-to-text transcription feature. Following his exit, he was integral in developing mobile ticketing technology applications for mass transit as partner of the executive team at Bytemark, another advanced startup.
Jesse serves on the board of the NYU Innovation Fund and manages investments for his family office EuroAmerican Funding. Jesse earned his BS in Business Administration at the University of Southern California.
Andrei Rebrov, CTO & Co-Founder, Scentbird
Andrei Rebrov is Founder of Scentbird Inc. and serves as its Chief Technology Officer. Andrei Rebrov is a coding Ninja with many years in the development space. Prior to Scentbird, he spent 6 years as senior developer with Luxoft and other top IT Strategy consulting firms in the areas of IT strategy and end-to-end consulting services in the areas of Enterprise Information Management, Enterprise Resource Planning and Rich Internet Technologies. He is an agile development and architectural culture blogger and featured speaker. He is a Rocket Scientist. He holds a Mathematics degree from Samara State Aerospace University.
Joshua Siegel, General Partner, Rubicon Venture Capital
Joshua Siegel is a General Partner at Rubicon Venture Capital, where he leads Rubicon’s New York office. He oversees the day to day activities and operations of Rubicon including evaluating early stage technology companies seeking funding, assisting current portfolio companies with development and interaction with LPs, attracting LP capital, and developing the Rubicon professional network. Joshua has extensive experience and connections in technology, real estate, luxury lifestyle brands, digital media, and consumer products. Joshua was formerly the Director of Market Intelligence at Citicorp Debt Capital Markets, Manager Eastern European Banking Systems at Citibank and was with the Overseas Private Investment Corp (OPIC). Joshua, was born and raised in New York, attended Horace Mann, and still lives there with his family. Joshua sourced all of the best performing deals for Rubicon including SuperHuman, Daily Harvest, Super Coffee, Easyship, Domio, Crafty, Cheetah, and Boom Shakalaka.
Ben Feferman, Co-founder and CEO, Amuka Esports
Ben Feferman is the co-founder and CEO of Amuka Esports and has spent the past 4 years in the industry as an investor, advisor and capital partner. Ben started his career in the entertainment industry, running his media and production company before moving into finance. In 2017 he opened Amuka Capital, a licensed investment bank (EMD) that focused on high growth sectors. He has a B.A law from Carleton University and finishing up his MBA at the University of Fredericton. Outside the office you'll find him playing PUBG or training for his next marathon.
Wayne Lam, Chairman / CEO, Cirrus Data Solutions Inc.
Wayne has over 25 years of experience in the enterprise storage industry, and has demonstrated an exceptional ability to bring new technologies to market. Wayne was a co-founder of FalconStor Software and was largely responsible for most of its successful storage products. Prior to that, Wayne was a senior executive at CA Technologies, and Cheyenne Software, prior to its acquisition by CA. Earlier in his career Wayne was the founder and CEO of Applied Programing Technologies, which was acquired by Cheyenne Software. Howard Katz, Managing Director, Mackie Research Capital
Howard is a 20 year capital markets veteran with a broad range of experience including both financing and advisory mandates to a wide range of sectors in the Canadian markets. Howard also has extensive management experience as a successful CEO having profitably sold his privately-held company in 2016. As a senior investment banker, Howard has led or co-managed billions of dollars in the junior and mid-cap sector in Canada. Howard is focused on the technology sector and special situations, providing advisory and finance solutions to clients, whereby leading management teams can share their successes with investors. Mark Young, CFA,MBA, Co-Founder & Managing Partner of Bridge Point Capital
Mark has more than 20 years of experience as CEO, CIO, COO, Director and Advisor in both early stage and large multinational organizations. Before joining Bridge Point Capital, he was a partner at L. Catterton’s Latin-America focused private equity fund. Previously, he led the investment advisory division within McKinsey & Co’s Investment office, overseeing ~US$10bn in Partner Funds. In addition to his investment expertise in both public and private markets, Mark has also built a distinguished career as an entrepreneur. He co-founded a biotechnology company, which attracted anchor investors including Warburg Pincus and the Harvard Endowment, before taking the company public. After that, he co-founded an entertainment company that was eventually acquired. Early in Mark’s career, he was at Morgan Stanley and PricewaterhouseCoopers.
