The Front Fest is an end-of-summer festival, featuring performances, films and creative experiences curated by Future Front.
Hosted annually in Austin, we put Texas women and LGBTQ+ creatives of all kinds at the front of our lineups.
WHAT TO EXPECT IN 2022
From August 25 to 28, 2022 we’re taking over The Line Hotel, Parish and Laguna Gloria in Austin for four days of music and film showcases.
This year's schedule includes:
✰ 08.25 — POOLSIDE PRE-PARTY: A poolside session at The Line Hotel to kick off The Front Festival 2022, featuring a DJ set by Lavender Thug and a curated night market
✰ 08.26 — MUSIC SHOWCASE: A music showcase at the newly renovated Parish Austin, headlined by indie pop/punk outfit We Don't Ride LLamas alongside up-and-coming multi-genre talent from across Texas
✰ 08.27 — FILM SHOWCASE: An outdoor film showcase and guided art tour on The Contemporary Austin's Laguna Gloria grounds, featuring works from Texas directors. Notable films include But Humble Sinners, a short about two nuns scamming a cowboy for a coffin, and Moondogs, a narrative about 3 girls in West Texas heading to an abortion clinic
✰ 08.28 — PERREO CLUB DAY PARTY: A pop-up Perreo Club, with sets by Suxxy Puxxy and special guests, on The Line Hotel pool deck to close out The Front Festival 2022 (weekend passholders only)
HOW TO ATTEND
One-day earlybird passes for the music and film showcases are $15 each. Tickets will increase to $25 at the door.
Weekend passes are $40 and include access to both the music and film showcases, as well as all pool parties at The Line Hotel. Limited quantities available. Pre-sale only.

Produced by Future Front and powered by you, The Front Fest is an end-of-summer festival, featuring performances, shows and creative experiences curated by Future Front. Over the course of a weekend, we celebrate the power of creative community and fundraise for Future Front’s micro-grants and mental health initiatives.
Formerly known as BABES FEST, the festival has seen more than 5,000 guests and showcased more than 500 women and LGBTQ+ artists and creators.

MEET THE PRODUCERS, FUTURE FRONT
Future Front is a 501c3 nonprofit, homegrown in Austin, Texas. We nurture spaces where women and LGBTQ+ creatives, founders and leaders can grow together. Currently, we produce The Front Market and Festival, host year-round workshops and meet-ups, as well as create resources for resilience in creative industries. You’re invited to join us, of course. PREPARE YOUR VISIT TO THE FRONT
VENUE LOCATIONS + ACCESSIBILITY — The Front Festival will be held across three venues in 2022: The Line Hotel Austin, Parish Austin and Laguna Gloria. All activities at all venues will occur on the ground floor and can be accessed by a wheelchair and other walking devices.
PARKING — We highly encourage utilizing rideshare or carpooling as there is limited self-parking available onsite. All venues are accessible by Austin public transportation, too.

OUR COMMUNITY SAFETY GUIDELINES —
All FFTX staff, volunteers and guests will be required to practice mutual respect, as well as demonstrate an alignment with Future Front’s code of conduct and values.
All sessions are held online or in outdoor, open-air spaces. Capacity is limited to reduce crowding of any kind.
All guests are required to practice mutual respect and social distancing, as well as follow APH’s COVID-19 Guidelines, which currently include:
At all levels, people can wear a mask based on personal preference, informed by their personal level of risk.
People with potential COVID-19 symptoms and/or exposure to someone with COVID-19 should wear a mask, regardless of a negative test.
People with a positive COVID-19 test and/or not fully vaccinated should not participate in an in-person Future Front event or visit a Future Front location until they test negative and/or they are fully vaccinated and no longer at risk.
