Description

Both are denied entry: Ewa's reputation has suffered because of a shipboard squabble, while Magda is ill and must be quarantined for six months. A helpful stranger named Bruno Weiss offers his assistance but it comes with strings attached. Ewa is soon coerced into a life of prostitution.
