About the play
This is truly a neighbourhood creation. Original script written by our neighbour Shaye Reichard, original music composed by our neighbour Allison Dyjach, and produced by the Gruhn Theatrical Group. Performed by neighbours of Cherry Park and friends!
Play Synopsis: The village of Cherry Park has been shrouded in darkness throughout the long, cold winter months. The villagers are excited to welcome the return of the sun at the winter solstice, but disaster strikes when the sun doesn’t arrive as expected. Propelled by the fear of continuing to live in darkness the villagers set out on a journey to bring back the sun. They encounter challenges along the way, and ultimately learn that the best way to survive the winter is together.
About the performance:
The entrance to the theatre is through the back door of the church off of Gruhn Street.
