Join us for the next instalment of THE PIANO LUNAIRE, a performance event that takes place on the full moon of every month. We have taken a hiatus for the month of August but are busy planning exciting new events for Fall 2019. The first of these is a vinyl album launch, on Saturday, September 14th! In September, we celebrate the HARVEST MOON 🌾🌕 welcoming audiences to Rainhard Brewery in Toronto's west end. Adam Sherkin launches his latest album, ROMANCE FROM THE CODA, released exclusively on (red) 12-inch vinyl. This record features works for piano by Franz Liszt, Frédéric Chopin and Sergei Rachmaninoff as well as spoken word in English and German by Friedrich Schiller (read by Elisabeth Bihl) and David James Brock. Save the date and join us for this unique performance event. Rainhard Brewery will be pouring signature beers (to purchase) and to pair with the musical fare. Pressings of the new record will be available for purchase and David James Brock will be onsite to perform his poetry. Arrive early for a premiere spot to catch the solo piano performance, generously sponsored by Yamaha Canada Music. Admission does remain free but a modest donation is suggested, at $15.
