Description
Event description: The Pink Line Cabaret is a multidimensional and intersectional celebration of Queer liberation. Featuring a diverse mix of artists and art forms, the Pink Line Cabaret is hosted and co-produced by the dynamic duo of nonbinary trans troublemakers, Jaqq Strapp and Griffin Payne. Beyond creating new possibilities for Queer inspiration and liberation, the Pink Line Cabaret also seeks to build solidarity across movements in real and tangible ways by donating 100% of ticket sales to community groups that make a difference in the lives of vulnerable and oppressed people in Tiotià:ke/Montreal. All proceeds from this inaugural edition will benefit AGIR Montreal - LGBTQIA+ Migrant and Refugee Support (https://agirmontreal.org/)
Given the unlikelihood of a pink line metro in Montreal any time in the near future, Jaqq Strapp and Griffin have decided to build the pink line themselves, with the help of friends and fellow Queer artists, in order to help connect the city in a new way while transporting us all into a Queer future of inspiration and liberation. Founded in solidarity and collective movement, the train has left the station, and the Pink Line Cabaret will open its doors and begin moving people on November 11, 2023 at Bar Le Ritz. Doors: 7pm Show: 8pm 18+
