UPCA is honored to be joined by "Schuyler sister" Jasmine Cephas Jones during the pre-show mini-concert of Rodgers & Hammerstein tunes. Jones, who originated the roles of Margarita "Peggy" Schuyler Van Rensselaer and Maria Reynolds in the Broadway phenomenon "Hamilton," will sing a series of favorites from the R&H songbook while accompanied by United Palace Musical Director (and "American Idol" finalist) Anwar Robinson.
Also joining the mini-concert will be Coogan's Restaurant co-owner Peter Walsh, returning to the Palace stage for the first time since 2013. His voice is still as smooth as a freshly poured pint of Guinness.
The pre-show will end with an audience sing-a-long of songs from "The Sound of Music."

"Movies at the Palace" take place at the stunning United Palace, formerly the Loew's 175th Street Theatre that first opened as a deluxe movie theatre and vaudeville house in 1930. We honor that past while reinventing the movie-going experience by pairing classic titles with pre-show entertainment and expert Q&A’s. The year-long series of “Movies that Reawaken Wonder” celebrates both the Palace’s past as a Wonder Theatre and recent cinematic rebirth, including Lin-Manuel Miranda’s 2016 donation of a DCP projector.
