A full day trip along the coast to Ōamaru. Travel through the countryside and take in panoramic views of North Otago’s rugged coastline before arriving in the charming town of Ōamaru. With a 3-hour stop, you have plenty of time to enjoy lunch at a local cafe or restaurant, explore the Victorian Precinct, or visit the Steampunk Museum. The Ōamaru Stop The train will arrive at the Ōamaru train station, which is a 10-minute walk from the Victorian Precinct. Sometimes there is a bus available between the station and Ōamaru's town centre for a small fee. Click here for things to do in Ōamaru Group Bookings Seating is General Admission. We recommend arriving early to find preferred seating together. Private carriages may be available on request if you have a group of 30+ passengers. Food and Beverage Available for purchase from the on-board Café. Additional information All tickets are sold as return fare, include GST and are subject to Terms & Conditions. Seating is General Admission. Your carriage may be allocated to improve your boarding experience. If travelling one-way, please contact our team at least 72 hours before your trip departs, or during check-in if you are boarding from the Dunedin Railway Station. We have limited storage space onboard.
