You don't need to pre-register, you just need to show up by 730pm to sign up to compete. If you want to compete in the Deathmatch, note you should have available 25 haikus minimum. They don't need to be memorized. We are using the standard 5-7-5 syllable count for this competition.
Anyone can come watch this concert of haiku poems, and remember: this isn't your grade-school's haikus! Expect funny, weird, thoughtful and unique haikus.Doors/sign up 730pm and show at 8pm. All ages (but note there will be adult content on stage).
Where is it? Once at stackt, head to unit 3-101, which is on the west side of the site. From the main gates, walk to the third couryard, and then the space is there! We're also excited to feature a short feature set from the hilarious Gavin Russell, a national champ and two-time members of the Toronto Poetry Slam Team.
