Description
TransformTalks ft. a photo competitionStorytelling through photography
Our upcoming TEDxStockholm virtual salon event will feature renowned photographers and storytellers exploring their transformative ideas that have been brought to light through their photography. We are all aware of how captivating and powerful storytelling can be through a single, or a series, of captured moments in space and time.
Talks
Our communities have faced a tremendous amount of change this past year. We may even say that we have transformed ourselves through our unique and shared experiences. These challenges (e.g., pandemic, climate) have tested us on many levels and have helped uncover our fragilities and strengths as individuals and as a collective.
But what do we really mean by transformative? What could a transformative moment look like to our speakers and even to you, our community?
TEDxStockholm photo competition (now closed for entry)
We would like to invite those interested from Sweden to submit a photo describing your transformative moment of 2020/2021. Whether you are a photographer-in-the-making or a professional, all are welcome to submit to our competition. The photos will be reviewed by the TEDxStockholm team together with our professional Judges.
The finalists, selected by our judges, will have the chance to showcase their unique transformative photo after the talks. This is a true opportunity for our community to share the virtual TEDx Stockholm stage.
This event will be moderated by none other than Unn Swanström, UX Designer at Mojang. That's right, she works on the world's largest game, Minecraft. Unn has a YouTube channel where she teaches design and prototyping in a fun and friendly way. She has worked with Spotify, Doberman, Cirkus Cirkör, SEBX, Swedish Radio, and Expressen. Does her name sound familiar? Maybe because she has hosted Women in Tech, Brilliant Minds, Nordic.design, Nordic.js and the Polhem Award. Oh, did we mention that she once won the IT Woman of the Year award? Yeah, that happened.
