Description
This trauma care training will offer support around showing up in your body to do trauma-informed work. Participants will experientially explore "Embodied Feelings + Stories” in terms of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. Using our own bodies as mirrors we will reflect upon how to support members of racialized or historically ignored communities, as psychotherapists, supervisors, workshop facilitators, or teachers, frontline workers, administrators, and those interested in becoming a better ally.
This training is done through an educational lens with compassionate self-inquiry through various sensory exercises.
Participants will develop more embodied self-awareness around unprocessed emotions, unconscious projections, power dynamics and boundaries that affect the potential of creating a safer therapy space.
