The UBUNTU Giving Circle will be a gathering of community members, key stakeholders and philanthropists who are committed to addressing the crisis in black maternal health by generating resources that will be utilized by the ARIAH Foundation to fuel its mission and expand its reach. UBUNTU is an African-centered philosophy that declares that each person’s humanity is inextricably tied to the humanity of the collective and that the advancement of the collective is connected to the progress of each individual.
In response to the Black Maternal Health crisis, the ARIAH Foundation is hosting this event committed to bringing impactful awareness to the community during Black Maternal Health Week 2023. The UBUNTU Giving Circle” will take place on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at 5pm EST at the historic Kings Theatre in Brooklyn, New York. Doors Open at 4pm. Please arrive early as seating is first come, first served. The event will feature a FREE event to raise awareness about the reproductive disparities and inequities that disproportionately impact BIPOC families.

We are standing for Black Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) around the world, whose birthing rites, autonomy and agency are being violated daily. We invite the community to participate in this transformative event. A night of art, storytelling, and performance celebrating a future where all people who give birth are honored and treated with dignity and care, as we work together to amplify the ARIAH Foundation’s mission and vision and share the power and beauty of African and Indigenous centered culture.
