Welcome to Umbrella Cymru's Big Queer Quiz. After another two weeks of lockdown, we're sure you'll be fed up of the same old family quiz... or just the same old family! Ha. Why not come and join the Umbrella Cymru family for a fun-filled evening of quiz questions, chat and a live singer. The event will start at 7pm on 7 November 2020. We'll begin with a few rounds of quiz questions. You can join as a team or an individual. Put your general knowledge to the test for a chance to win some prizes. Then we'll be entertained by the fantastic Holly who was recently featured on our website for Black History Month. Holly has been singing professionally for many years, but the pandemic has hit the entertainment industry hard, so we wanted to keep her busy during lockdown. It's going to be a great evening, and a first for us. Please come along and support us, Holly, and more importantly each other while we are all in lockdown. We're looking forward to seeing you there! What do I need to join the quiz? You'll need two devices connected to the internet. These could be a computer, laptop, tablet or mobile phone. You will need one device to watch the presenter and another to answer the questions. We're going fully digital so you won't need paper or a pen. How do I join? We'll be using Zoom for the event so we can share the screen to read out the questions and chat in between quiz rounds. You'll need a device that supports Zoom, or you can download the app on a tablet or phone. Further instructions will be sent with your ticket. How do I answer the questions? We're using a platform called Sli.Do for the questions. It's so cool! You can either download the app to that other device, or join using a browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari etc.) If you are using the app, just enter the event code on the first screen. If you are using a browser, go to https://slido.com and enter the event code there. We'll send you the event code an hour before the event, so don't forget to check your inbox. What if I can't access either of these? We strongly advise you try accessing before the event, but if you have any issues, don't panic. We're here to help. Just email us and we'll be able to help if you need it. Where does the money from tickets go? All money raised from the sale of the tickets will be put back into developing the support services Umbrella Cymru offers to people across Wales.
