Undone: A Lenten Reading Group
Join the Rabbit Room for this five week Lenten reading group. We will read and discuss Lenten themes, including suffering, illness, and mortality through the lens of Philip Yancey’s Undone: A Modern Rendering of John Donne’s Devotions. Joining us will be special guests Jonathan Rogers, Pete Peterson, Doug McKelvey, and Philip Yancey.

Schedule:
Session 1: Introduction to a Writer Who “Burned, Raved, and Raged” | February 29 at 6:30pm CST
Reading Section: Preface - Day 6 (pages VII - 29).
We will kick off the group by discussing the reading section and comparing passages in Undone to the original text in Devotions.
Session 2: Body and Spirit Under Assault (with special guest Jonathan Rogers) | March 7 at 6:30pm CST
Reading Section: Day 7 - Day 12 (pages 30 - 56).
Jonathan Rogers will join us to discuss the reading section and give background information on John Donne and the context in which he wrote Devotions.
Session 3: Only Be Present to Me (with special guest A. S. "Pete" Peterson) | March 14 at 6:30pm CST
Reading Section: Day 13 - Day 18 (pages 57 - 80).
A. S. "Pete" Peterson will join us to discuss the reading section and parallels found within The Hiding Place.
Session 4: Patience in the School of Affliction (with special guest Doug McKelvey) | March 21 at 6:30pm CST
Reading Section: Day 19 - Day 25 (pages 81 - 116).
Doug McKelvey will join us to discuss the reading section and parallels found within Every Moment Holy.
Session 5: Restoration of Body and Soul (with special guest Philip Yancey) | March 28 at 6:30pm CST
Reading Section: Day 26 - Day 30 (pages 117 - 145)
Philip Yancey will join us to discuss the reading section and the book as a whole.
