If there’s one thing in life you can’t argue, it’s this: UNO is fun no matter how old you are!
It’s that spirit that inspired the crew behind Pittsburgh Libations Week to bring you this: An UNO
Tournament to test the skills of Pittsburghers all across the city. But…who wants to compete for UNO glory without a beverage in hand? It’s in
that spirit that we teamed up with our friends at Wigle Whiskey to host this one-of-a-kind event at the Wigle Barrelhouse.
For the event, Wigle will be creating three UNO-themed beer cocktails
that you can enjoy throughout the day. These adult beverages will be
created utilizing Wigle’s product line and local craft beers.
Not into beer cocktails? No problem. Your $25 entry fee gets you
entered into the tournament PLUS gives you the choice between two beer
cocktails, two craft beer drafts, or two Wigle cocktails. Or, mix and
match!
We are looking to go all-out for the tournament and get 64 players.
Each matchup will be best three-out-of-five with the winner moving on to
the next round. The two semifinal matchups and the championship match
will be best four-out-of-seven. Standard UNO rules will be utilized and
will be covered before the event begins.
We will have some sweet prizes up for grabs for the those who make it deep into the tournament!
This event will sell out at 64 people, so don't delay in grabbing your ticket! You must be 21 to participate.
And, in case you were wondering: The Steelers don’t play til Sunday
Night on the 29th…meaning there’s time for you to enjoy a tasty beverage or two,
stake your claim to the UNO crown, and
still be home before kickoff!
