Die Waves Festival Conference ist Teil des Music Festivals und bietet Lectures, Panels und Workshops. Das fachspezifische Programm widmet sich dabei dem Überthema „East Meets West“, das Basis und Inspiration für eine langjährige, gesamteuropäische Zusammenarbeit sein wird.
Das heurige Konferenzprogramm greift den Festivalschwerpunkt auf die Donauregion auf und begreift diesen nicht als pandemiebedingte Einschränkung sondern als überfällige, tiefgehende Auseinandersetzung mit der Makroregion der Staaten entlang der Donau.Expert*innen aus den Donauländern Deutschland, Österreich, Slowakei, Ungarn, Kroatien, Serbien, Rumänien, Bulgarien, Republik Moldau und Ukraine werden ihre Musikmärkte vorstellen und grenzübergreifende Themenfelder behandeln.

The Waves Festival Conference is part of the Music Festival and offers lectures, panels and workshops. The subject-specific program is dedicated to the over-theme "East Meets West", which will be the basis and inspiration for a long-term, pan-European cooperation.
This year’s conference programme takes up the festival’s focus on the Danube region and understands it not as a pandemic-related restriction but as an overdue, in-depth examination of the macro-region of the countries along the Danube.Experts from the Danube countries Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Romania, Bulgaria, the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine will present their music markets and discuss cross-border topics.
