Waves Vienna versteht sich als Showcase-Festival und findet 2025 zum 15. Mal statt. Von 2. bis 4. Oktober 2025 treten vor allem jene Bands auf, die über internationales Format verfügen, aber es aus eigener Kraft noch nicht zu großer Bekanntheit geschafft haben. Neben einigen größeren Acts, geht es also vor allem darum in den Locations rund um den Wiener Gürtel neue Acts zu entdecken und diese zu fördern.

From October 2 to 4, 2025, the focus will be on bands that have an international format but have not yet made it to fame on their own. In addition to some bigger acts, the main aim is to discover and promote new acts in the venues around Vienna's Gürtel.
