Description
To honor the memories of the victims of the massacre at Tree of Life synagogue in Squirrel Hill, the members of Pittsburgh Whiskey Friends will host Mark Gillespie & WhiskyCast for a LIVE podcast Tasting Panel fundraiser in support of HIAS (Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society), a charity important to the congregation and to all of us as well. Joining us as our Special Guest on the Tasting Panel, and lending his Support for the night, one of our favorite Pittsburghers... Mr. Rick Sebak!
The event will be held on Monday, November 26, 2018, from 6:30-9:30pm at The Elks Lodge #339, 400 Cedar Ave, on the North Side. Doors open at 6pm. Event tickets will be on sale until Sunday, November, 25, 2018, at 12pm or until sold out.
The WhiskyCast Tasting Panel consists of four (4) panel members and the host, Mark Gillespie. The panel will observed by a live audience who will occasionally be called upon to give their thoughts on the proceedings. The panel will work their way through a flight of whisk(e)y curated by Mark. The audience will also be offered the same pours for their own personal evaluations (flight is included in the full ticket, not in the designated driver (DD) ticket). The panel will give their thoughts on each whisk(e)y and, at the end, give a score to each.
Also, we will be raffling off 1 of the 4 panel seats to a lucky audience member. So you just might find yourself right up there on center stage. Raffle tickets are separate from the event tickets, you must purchase an event ticket to be eligible for the drawing. Drawing will occur on Friday, November 23, 2018, at 6pm. Raffle ticket sales will end at 12pm on Friday, November 23. 2018. Winner of the Tasting Panel raffle will have their Event Ticket cost refunded.
