Equinox and Solstice celebrations at CoSM honor polarities and the alignment of the earth with the sun, crests and troughs in the wave of time -- the longest and shortest days and nights of the year and the two days of balance and equivalence. When we notice the passing of the days, the months, the years, we contemplate impermanence, raising our awareness to the preciousness of life in the here and now. At CoSM, Celestial Celebrations begin with spoken wisdom on a worthy topic. After the talk and discussion, the audience breaks. Then, look forward to some of the best electronic music, down tempo music, ecstatic dance, a fire circle, and fire spinning. Alex and Allyson live paint along with a showcase of visionary artists. Acrobats, belly dancers, laser light shows, taro readers, palmists, face painters, group sand mandalas have all been part of the rich tapestry, the transformative tableau of uplifting offerings at CoSM Celestial Celebrations. Please note: this is an alchohol free zone! Music Lineup Parkbreezy Parker Williams, also known as parkbreezy, is a talented instrumentalist, producer, and artist who creates soulful and emotive beats. His music is a fusion of various genres, including Hip Hop, R&B, Soul, Jazz, and Electronic Music. Parker's style incorporates resampling, syncopated percussion, propulsive bass lines, and affectional melodies. He continues to progress and shape his style, incorporating new knowledge and past inspirations into his musical compositions. Since he moved in 2016, he has immersed himself in developing a unique perspective on bass music, drawing influences from a mixture of his roots as well as the local Colorado community, pheel. strives to take his audience on a sonic adventure with each set, guiding them through equal parts hip-hop and “bass music”. He pays respect to the classics of his youth simultaneously reimagining these tracks with modern production techniques and rumbling bass lines. Drawing on a wide range of influences, his music strives to bridge a gap between electronic and acoustic spaces, incorporating sounds of real-world instruments into an eclectic brand of bass driven electronic beats. Following a pattern of organic growth, MALAKAI’s live sets consist of a carefully curated and immersive journey through a multitude of musical flavors. MALAKAI began producing in 2011 at the age of 17 under the guidance of acclaimed producer/guitarist Derek VanScoten (Cloudchord, D.V.S*) and went on to earn a degree in Music Technology from New York University. In 2017, he teamed up with Wyler Sanca and Francesco Ferran to form The Rust Music, a record label, blog and production company dedicated to showcasing forward-thinking music and art in NYC and across the country. Since his start, MALAKAI has shared stages with internationally renowned artists including Tipper, Ott, Emancipator, Rumpistol, Spoonbill, Desert Dwellers, and Purity Ring, and appeared at numerous festivals and venues across the country. Over the past few years, MALAKAI has been featured on releases through Desert Trax (Antumbral Shadow - compiled by Desert Dwellers), The Rust Music (Oxidized Vol. 1, Saros EP, Oxidized Vol. 2, Saros [New Cycle] EP) and most recently Street Ritual (Milieux EP).
