RIGHTEOUS RAINBOWS OF TOGETHERNESS (LIVE)
The Righteous Rainbows of Togetherness are a live techno act that defies explanation. These two intergalactic wizards weave bass, beats and melodies that inspire carbon lifeforms to shake. The live show is dominated by colourful dance troops and a feeling of inclusion that makes all feel welcome and uninhibited to get loose. The underground duo have performed together for over a decade, including notable appearances at Bass Coast and Rifflandia.

DJ LEANNE
DJ Leanne is the owner & operator of GirlOnWax Entertainment. She has been DJing with a solid reputation for over 20 years and has built a team of incredible, award-winning DJs & Musicians.
She is a large contributor to Canada’s thriving DJ scene through her creation of GirlOnWax, DJ Schools & House Music radio shows. Prior to GirlOnWax, Leanne was the booking liaison and publicist for Vancouver’s legendary underground dance venue Sonar. In her long and successful DJ career, Leanne has spun alongside the best world-renowned DJs in the business: Kaskade, Boy George, Armand Van Helden & Mark Farina, to name a few. Leanne has also played alongside high profile celebrity artists such as the Red Hot Chili Peppers and at Sarah McLachlan’s Lilith Fair.
An innovator for DJ Education in Canada, DJ Leanne created Western Canada’s very first DJ School. The Rhythm Institute was featured on MuchMusic, MTV Canada, CTV, CBC, City TV, Global, The Globe & Mail, BC Business Magazine, Vancouver Magazine, The Vancouver Sun, The Province, The Georgia Straight (cover story) & Elle Magazine.

THOM BANKS
Thom Banks is a staple in the dance music community in the City of Gardens since the 90’s. Thom has earned himself many residencies over the years and has been invited to play at the best festivals, parties and clubs on the West Coast, including Song & Surf, Cosmic Campout, Diversity Festival, Festivus, Tall Tree Festival, Freq Fest, Rifflandia, Basscoast, and of course, Soundwave, west coast Canada’s fabled electronic music festival.
His tight mixing, unparalleled track selection and keen ability in interpreting his crowd on the dance floor has allowed him to play alongside names such as Mathew Jonson, Dave Seaman, Mark Farina, Gene Farris, The Mole, Bassnectar and Eddie C, just to name a few. He’s often considered a DJ’s favourite DJ.

LÖBLOVÁ
Löblová loves music and sounds from all over the globe. Open to all the genres, she hopes to move her dancers and listeners to be where ever they are at and move where ever they are open to go – always in transition and always exactly where we need to be.

DANIEL JAMES
Daniel James was introduced to electronic music during the 90’s in Toronto’s underground scene; finding a deep connection to both House and Techno. Since getting his first decks on his 16th birthday, he’s played clubs, events and festivals across Canada and the US including WEMF, OM, Burning Man, Fozzyfest, Treemendus and Evolve to name a few. He has worked closely with an array of production groups across Canada, from Montreal to Vancouver.
Since moving to Victoria, BC he has helped found Footwork Entertainment hosting streams during the glodal pandemic crisis to help bring levity and togetherness to a difficult situation. Post pandemic Footwork Entertainment has grown to produce original one-off events in unique spaces and has its own festival plans in the works.

Accessibility at the VEC is an ongoing project, and we continue to work to make the space more accessible to all kinds of folks. There are also a lot of different barriers to accessibility that have been identified, that we continue to work on. As part of this process, we ask guests: If you are able to do so, use the Broad Street stair entrance and mulit-user washroom. There is only one accessible entrance and washroom, help make sure those who need it can use it. Do not move tables or chairs without venue permission. Keep aisles clear at all times and please return your glassware to the bar.

As per our liquor license we have a zero tolerance policy for outside alcohol in our venue. Bag checks can be performed by security and outside alcohol will be confiscated. There is no smoking or vaping allowed inside the venue. We may refuse liquor service at any time, But commit to practices that are non-judgemental of intoxication, regardless of its form, cause, or base substance and we will treat everyone with dignity and respect. We may, in some situations, have to ask intoxicated people to leave our venue due to circumstances that put the safety of others at risk. We will not do this lightly, or without significant reason.
