The Y4 moderation workshop offers an opportunity for practitioners to engage in some external moderation of their teacher assessments in writing. Teachers will therefore need to bring a range of their children's writing books (below, at and above the expected standard for their age) including those on the cusp of a particular standard.
This is one of a suite of moderation sessions provided by primary adviser/moderation manager, Jane Gill working in partnership with Nottingham Schools Trust. Writing moderation workshops for Y2 and Y6 are at the end of March. Y1, Y3, Y4 and Y5 workshops are early in the summer term.
The venue for all sessions is Nottingham Nursery School & Training Centre (which has plenty of on-street parking on Forster Street, Nottingham NG7 3DF).
The cost for non-NST schools is only £50 per delegate. Schools will be invoiced following the event.
