Splice Records is excited to announce their new event called Zen Fest: On the Guadalupe; which is taking place the weekend of April 3rd to 5th, 2020 along the Guadalupe River at the KL Ranch Camp “On the River” in the splendorous city of New Braunfels, Texas. Six years ago, Splice Records organized the very first River Revival Music Festival with the aim of creating a unique camping experience and providing a place to enjoy live entertainment and togetherness all the while relishing in the immense, natural beauty of Texas. Today, the River Revival Music Festival is the flagship event for Splice Records hosting over well over 1,000 attendees annually. This festival wiil feel much like the very first Revival! A part of River Revival’s success is due to the wonderful souls at Zen City. At River Revival 4 (2018), Folk Family Revival and Zen City collaborated on an intimate, living space located at the top of the hill across from “The Lawn”. Zen City was the home for many late night performances including those of some attendees. It was such a pleasant addition to the festival that Splice Records asked them to come back the following year at River Revival 5 (2019). The location moved, it grew in size and the possibilities of what we could accomplish took life with a little help from our friends at the Corner Pub and Deli in Conroe, TX. Zen Fest is a nomadic, micro-festival & camping experience brought to you by Splice Records, Lone Star Beer, and Zen City. Zen Fest: On the Guadalupe is the first installment of this new concept and will take place in a familiar setting (KL Ranch Camp “On the River”, the site of River Revival) and is designed to feel more like the first couple of River Revival Music Festivals. Zen Fest: On the Guadalupe is a one time event with less than 300 tickets available; so consider this an exclusive and personal invitation to join us on the river in the lovely Texas springtime. Here’s what to expect: Live music featuring DeadEye, The Light Rock Express, IllumiYachty, and Folk Family Revival (performing a special Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers set) on the Lone Star Beer Main Stage in the evening and there will be unplugged musical performances carrying on into the night at Zen City (bring your acoustics) Canoeing, Tubing, Floating (river permitting) Bingo on the Lawn with prizes and giveaways handed out all weekend Hiking, Swimming, Fishing, Riverside Sitting Merriment, Togetherness, Rejuvenation Late Night and Day-time Zen City vibes Splice Records love Lone Star Beer… beer Canoe Races and a Fishing Contest (catch and release) Costume Pageant on Friday and Saturday nights, (Come dressed up with themed costumes nightly. Key words for fashion attire: Yacht rock, 70s, psychedelic) Single Pot Cook Off Competition and Friday Pot-luck dinner (Feel free to enter the competition or bring a dish) With less than 300 tickets available, Zen Fest: On the Guadalupe will sell out swiftly and surely so do not hesitate to pass this link on to your friends, family and your favorite camping buddies. Each ticket includes: Campsite for two nights and 3 days Official Zen Fest: On the Guadalupe commemorative T-Shirt Live main stage concerts in the evening and late night performances and parties at Zen City Saturday and Sunday Morning Yoga Sessions Access to all of the River Activities And things we do not even know about at this moment. Camping Information: RV & Motorhome spaces are available but limited. A one-time $95 additional cost is required at Check Out to reserve your Premium Motorhome campsite at KL Ranch Camp “On the River.” Campers, RVs and Motorhomes will not be welcome if the additional cost is not added to your cart during Check out. All the RV sites have 30 amp electrical plug-ins and water connections. 50 amp sites are limited but also available. Generators are not welcome. Those who plan to tent camp will have a reserved area to pitch your tent. We will make sure you will be camping with your friends. For positive sleeping arrangements there will be a family area sectioned off for attendees with children. Children 5 and under are free. On the day of your arrival your campsite number and an itinerary will be provided to you when you Check-in at the KL Ranch Camp “On the River” front gate 5455 River Rd. New Braunfels, TX 78132. Clean and well-maintained showers are available on site, but they do require quarters for operation. Everyone is encouraged to bring their own camping supplies (food, equipment, coolers and beverages). However, the campgrounds do have firewood and ice on-site for purchase. There is also a small store on the Campgrounds with various camping necessities should one forget or need something. Food & Beverage Information: The Food & Beverage program for Zen Fest: On the Guadalupe is quite simple: BYO Food and Beverage. There will be several food trucks on site throughout the weekend; so bring your wallet with some extra funds to get in on that glamping cuisine. Unlike the River Revival Music Festival, food is not included in the ticket price this year.
