Don't miss New West Symphony & Chorus at their first-ever "Best of the Season" concerts. Come and enjoy New West's energy and excellence as they perform their favourite, most-loved songs from their 2023-2024 season. "Best of the Season" will feature a wide variety of musical genres and styles chosen from their unique concert repertoires.
If you aren't yet familiar with New West Symphony & Chorus, every season they perform four distinct concert types, each featuring a vareity of music styles, such as pop and classical. As a faith-based ensemble, New West brings their uplifting and soul-filling sacred repertoire to churches in and around the Calgary area throughout their performance season. NWSC also celebrates the Christmas season at a number of concerts, including their annual "Christmas with New West" concert at the Jack Singer Concert Hall. Their third repertoire is their annual "Spring Concert" - where they have fun choosing a theme or style (movie music, Broadway and a tribute to music's best, to name a few). On April 28th, New West Symphony & Chorus and New West Student Ensemble will perform at "True North Strong and Loud" - a musical celebration of the incredible, musically-diverse talent of Canadian singers and songwriters. Their fourth repertoire is chosen specifically for their annual fundraising Gala - so, to add to the fun of this "Best of the Season" concert at Legacy Place, the younger members of the audience will definitely enjoy some fun "magical and enchanted" musical numbers.

The 100 musician-strong New West Symphony & Chorus is directed by Henric Ideström and Natalie Prando. Founded in February 2010, what sets this community-based choir and orchestra is their commitment to "Music with a Purpose" - using their platform to create opportunities to build community, show love and share joy.
