Presented by DAIPANbutoh Collective, the Seattle International Butoh Festival 2024 features guest artists Mari Osanai (Japan), Eugenia Vargas (Mexico) and Tebby Ramasike (South Africa/Netherlands). Mari and Eugenia will perform and teach workshops. Tebby’s work will be presented through videos of his dance embedded in the weekend festival and in a special free pre-festival event focused on Tebby and his work including an interview created with DAIPAN member Dhyana Garcia in Paris with video excerpts of his performances followed by a Q&A on November 16 (check DAIPAN’s website for details) https://www.daipanbutohcollective.com/ . Works by DAIPAN members will be offered as well. DAIPAN is excited to be bringing three well-known international performers and teachers from three different parts of the world to our November 22-24, 2024 festival with performances on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening and workshops on Saturday and Sunday daytime.
